Today I attended two events both of which were focused on the need for and value of philanthropy in greater Los Angeles. There were about 75 people in these two meetings and the entire focus was on organizations and projects focused generally on people we don’t know. That’s right, people being involved to help their fellow man, people we may never meet, we may never know. These are people who simply want an opportunity for a good, safe and simple life. Not too much to ask, especially in a country as prosperous as ours. And yet, it seems to elude so many.

7 Things Highly Productive People Do
Hello Qclipers! We have been rushing to try and get one last issue out before the end of the year and as you can imagine it has not been easy given the “holiday crunch”. Clients want to get many settled before the Christmas / New Years week and many of us at QuantumMethod take our vacation time during that week as well. So, needles to say it has been a challenge. But, we did it!! I confess that I had a another topic in mind with more depth, but there is simply no time for meet to write it, so I will save it for January.
Motivation and AP Holiday Style
I enjoy “fierce conversations” with my QM colleagues, and no more than at the Holidays. We rarely change our opinions, but the fact that we can “go there” is both liberating and motivating. Nothing like a good verbal tussle with the QM team to clear out the cobwebs and re-energize an afternoon. My colleagues say that we are really arguing about the same thing in these verbal duels… I could argue about that…
Haiku?
I had a million ideas on what to write for this months “seasonal” Q-clip but ran the risk of impinging jingle patents or down right plagiarizing content.
So many songs, religious celebrations, marketing and hype of the season infiltrate the day. I pause to wonder how this winter holiday season evolved overtime? How can I capture my thoughts in a concise manner and represent what not only I am thinking but how others portray the season?
Then, the Hai-ku came along.
New Traditions
This will be the first time I can remember that I haven’t made it home for Christmas. And I already miss it. I miss the smell of the air and sharp bite of the wind against the skin of my face. I am going to miss seeing my family and our various traditions. From our bright and early Christmas morning to The new Years party at my Aunt and Uncles house, staying up late playing games and solving puzzles with people I love. That said, this also represents an opportunity to create some new traditions, and I am very much looking forward to, and excited about the possibilities.
